For some time now Motorola have been marketing phones specifically targeting men and women. Two of the newest lines to be borne out of the original Razr are the Pink and the Blue. Naturally it is assumed that the Blue will be preferred by men and the Pink by women and Motorola are probably right. However in a recent survey carried out by NPD Group (one of the largest market research companies around) they have found that Motorola sales are accounting for 30% of the 31.6 million cell phones that were sold in the third quarter of 2005. This has certainly been true of the classic Silver Motorola Razr which has captured a large portion of the cell phone market in the past year or so, and has enabled Motorola to bite into Nokiaâs leading position within the market.
